Upcoming meetings

The Netherlands URSI Committee convenes twice a year. Furthermore also twice a year a scientific meeting is organized. One in collaboration with the Telecom commision of KIVI (Koninklijk Instituut voor Ingenieurs) and the other one in collaboration with the Belgian URSI Commission.

 

URSI Publications

URSI features three publications:

  1. The Radio Science Bulletin is the Union’s magazine. The latest version (no. 369, June 2019) can be downloaded here.
  2. The scientific journal Radio Science is the URSI logo journal. Radio Science publishes original research articles on radio frequency electromagnetic-propagation and its applications. 
  3. The Radio Science Letters (RSL) is a new electronic journal owned and operated by URSI. Its purpose is to rapidly publish original and previously unpublished scientific research work in all areas of radio science, in the form of short contributions that are rigorously reviewed. The journal is open access and will be published only in electronic format, one volume per calendar year. Each reviewed and accepted paper will be published as soon as full editing is completed. Previous events

The 4th Atlantic Radio Science Conference (AT-RASC) was held from 19 - 24 May 2024 in ExpoMeloneras Convention Centre on Gran Canaria, Spain. The AT-RSAC is this year’s URSI flagship conference covering all URSI’s scientific Commissions. Please refer to the conference website for more information.

On Thursday, February 8, the KIvI-URSI seminar on “Developments at Radio Science in the Netherlands based on URSI-GASS 2023” was held at Aristo Lunetten. During this seminar, five NUC members were given an abridged version of their presentation during the URSI General Assembly and Scientific Symposium (GASS) held in Sapporo, Japan in August 2023.  The XXXV General Assembly and Scientific Symposium (GASS) of the URSI was held from August 19-26, 2023, in the Sapporo Convention Center in Sapporo, Japan. The GASS of URSI is a triennial event to review current research trends, present new discoveries and make plans for the future research and special projects in all areas of radio science.  The 29th URSI Benelux Forum was held on March 18th, 2022 at “De Zwarte Doos” on the university campus of the University of Eindhoven. It consisted of Poster Sessions with contributions from all fields covered by every of the 10 URSI Commisions around the theme “Past, present and future of Radio Science”, in addition to a plenary presentation by URSI’s Secretary General about the history of URSI.
